PLEASURES OF LIFE - by J.C. | ||||||||||

Pleasures of life, the same as pains, are perceived through our common senses: Sight, Hearing, Smell, Taste, Touch, and a sixth one, not so conventional: “Physical Desire” identified, at least on the part of French people, since the time of Buffon. May be the interesting way of using analogies practiced by the famous French naturalist, inspired dissociation of this sixth sense from that of touching, to which it had been confounded to the age. In any case, when considering pleasures of life, it is unquestionable that physical desire, taken or not as an additional sense to those conventional, is undoubtedly the way to the upper part, if not the top of the scale of intensity of pleasures. |
